Position Overview
We are seeking a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support elementary-aged students in a school-based setting. This full-time opportunity serves a Transitional Kindergarten (TK) through 5th-grade caseload and offers collaboration with an experienced supervising Speech-Language Pathologist.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide speech and language therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Assist in implementing individualized treatment plans and therapy goals.
- Support students with a variety of communication needs in an elementary school setting.
- Document student progress and maintain accurate service records.
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and related service providers.
- Participate in team meetings and consultations as needed.
- Follow all state and district regulations regarding SLPA practice.
Qualifications Required
- Active California SLPA license.
- Minimum of 3 months of SLPA experience.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively with elementary-aged students.
Preferred
- Bilingual in Spanish and English.
- Previous school-based experience.
- Experience supporting diverse student populations and communication needs.
