Serving the vibrant communities of Dale City, Dumfries, and Woodbridge, you'll play an essential role assisting students with their communication and language needs for the 2026-2027 school year.
This opportunity is ideal for compassionate individuals passionate about making a difference in educational settings. You’ll have the chance to engage with students, work closely under the supervision of supervising SLPs, and positively impact school communities.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Speech/Communication Disorders or related field required
- No SLPA license required in Virginia
- Previous school-based SLPA experience is a plus
- Excellent communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
- Ability to work effectively with students, staff, and families
Key Responsibilities:
- Support implementation of student-specific speech and language therapy plans under the guidance of certified SLPs
- Collect data and document student progress
- Assist with screenings and language activities
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and school support staff
- Participate in school meetings and in-service programs, as assigned
Position Details:
- Contract position, August 24th, 2026 – June 12th, 2027
- 35 hours per week (7 hours per day), allowing you to fully immerse in the school environment
- Serve multiple school sites in Dale City, Dumfries, and Woodbridge
