Bring your passion for helping students succeed in communication with a rewarding contract position as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in vibrant Prince William County. This opportunity focuses on supporting school teams in the Dale City, Dumfries, and Woodbridge areas for the 2026-2027 school year.

We are searching for dedicated professionals ready to make a positive impact, working collaboratively with speech and language pathologists and educators to encourage student growth. In this school-based role, you’ll have the chance to apply your expertise in a supportive environment—without the need for an SLPA license in Virginia, as long as you possess the required educational background.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Degree in Communications, Speech-Language, or Communication Disorders (required)
  • Previous experience as an SLPA in a school or pediatric setting is a plus
  • Eagerness to work with elementary, middle, and/or high school students
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Compassion, patience, and strong organizational skills

Role Overview:

  • Support students’ speech and language development based on individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Assist in the implementation of therapeutic activities designed by supervising SLPs
  • Record student progress and maintain thorough documentation
  • Participate in staff meetings and collaborate with educational teams
  • Communicate regularly with teachers and families about student needs and progress
