Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid SLPA licensure for the state of Virginia
• Associate’s degree or higher in a speech-language pathology assistant program or related field
• Previous experience in an educational or pediatric setting is preferred
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to follow direction and work in partnership with supervising SLPs
• Passion for encouraging students' progress and fostering positive learning environments

Responsibilities & Duties:

• Deliver direct and indirect speech-language therapy services to students as outlined in Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Implement therapy sessions, activities, and exercises designed by the supervising Speech Language Pathologist
• Document student progress and maintain accurate records of therapy sessions
• Collaborate effectively with teachers, staff, and family members to support student objectives
• Participate in staff meetings and contribute to the ongoing development of the speech-language program within the school
• Assist with data collection and reporting to ensure compliance with school and legal requirements
