Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Holds an active and valid licensure/certification as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
- Prior experience supporting speech-language therapy in a school environment is highly desirable
- Strong interpersonal skills for collaborating with students, educators, and families
- Familiarity with implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Adaptable, organized, and enthusiastic about fostering student growth
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language interventions under the guidance of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist
- Support teachers and staff to promote communication strategies in the classroom
- Assist in data collection, recordkeeping, and maintaining accurate documentation of student progress
- Prepare therapy materials and set up activities for group and one-on-one sessions
- Communicate progress and challenges to supervising SLP and participate in IEP meetings as needed
