Key Qualifications and Experience:

  • Holds an active and valid licensure/certification as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
  • Prior experience supporting speech-language therapy in a school environment is highly desirable
  • Strong interpersonal skills for collaborating with students, educators, and families
  • Familiarity with implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Adaptable, organized, and enthusiastic about fostering student growth

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver speech and language interventions under the guidance of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Support teachers and staff to promote communication strategies in the classroom
  • Assist in data collection, recordkeeping, and maintaining accurate documentation of student progress
  • Prepare therapy materials and set up activities for group and one-on-one sessions
  • Communicate progress and challenges to supervising SLP and participate in IEP meetings as needed
