Qualifications and Preferred Experience:

  • Associate’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assisting or related field
  • Valid SLPA license or eligibility in the state
  • Previous experience working with children or in a school setting is beneficial
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to follow treatment plans and accurately document student progress
  • Flexibility and a collaborative mindset

Primary Duties:

  • Implement speech and language intervention under the supervision of a licensed SLP
  • Assist with screenings and evaluations as directed
  • Provide direct therapy to students, addressing individualized education program (IEP) goals
  • Prepare therapeutic materials and activities
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of student progress and session data
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment through supportive interactions
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to discussions on best practices
  • Communicate effectively with staff, students, and families as required
