Qualifications & Skills:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
  • Active SLPA license/registration in Tennessee (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Experience in a school setting is preferred, but strong new graduates are welcome to apply
  • Familiarity with IEP processes and documentation is a plus
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with students, families, and staff
  • Ability to adapt therapy techniques to varied student needs and age groups

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement speech and language therapy plans developed by supervising SLPs
  • Work with students individually or in small groups to target communication goals
  • Assist in data collection and progress monitoring for student goals
  • Prepare therapy materials and document student performance
  • Collaborate with educators and support staff to foster a positive learning environment
  • Participate in departmental meetings and ongoing professional development
