School Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) | Merced, California

As a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant, you’ll deliver high-quality services to preschoolers and young learners, fostering essential speech and language skills.

Key Qualifications & Experience:

• Current California SLPA license (required)
• Previous experience within school or healthcare settings supporting pediatric populations
• Familiarity with small-group facilitation (2–4 students per group, 20–30 minutes each)
• Comfortable working both in groups and 1:1 with “littles” (preschoolers and early learners)
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with supervising SLPs, teachers, and families
• Commitment to promoting a positive, child-centered learning experience

Core Responsibilities:

• Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students as outlined in IEPs
• Organize and implement engaging activities for both group sessions and individual intervention
• Maintain accurate documentation on student progress and attendance
• Collaborate closely with licensed SLPs, classroom teachers, and school staff
• Support Extended School Year (ESY) as well as the regular academic year (NSY)
• Adapt materials and strategies to meet the diverse needs of young learners
