Step into a dynamic educational setting as a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) and help young learners reach their communication milestones. This full-time contract role offers the opportunity to work with preschoolers and early elementary students in both group and individualized sessions. You’ll be an essential support for licensed Speech-Language Pathologists, playing a vital part in each student’s growth.
This position is based near Merced, CA, with a schedule running from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM, beginning ASAP and continuing through June 6, 2025—offering experience in both Extended School Year (ESY) and New School Year (NSY) programs.
What We’re Looking For:
- Valid California SLPA license required.
- Experience in school settings strongly preferred; healthcare background beneficial.
- Comfortable delivering speech and language services to small groups (2-4 students, 20-30 minutes each) and occasional 1:1 sessions for preschoolers and younger students.
- Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills.
- Enthusiasm for supporting children’s language and social development.
Duties Include:
- Implement evidence-based speech and language interventions as directed by supervising SLP.
- Collect and maintain accurate data on student progress.
- Prepare session materials and collaborate with classroom teachers and staff.
- Provide both group and individualized support, adapting to the needs of diverse learners.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute insights to IEP documentation.
