Step into an engaging role supporting students’ communication needs in a collaborative, school-based environment. This contract position is ideal for a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) or Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) eager to make a meaningful impact across a range of grade levels.

Work closely with a dedicated team, including two SLPs and another SLPA, providing services to K-12 students across five schools. The caseload will be determined to fit your strengths and interests and adapted upon assignment. This is an itinerant opportunity, offering the chance to support diverse student populations while moving between sites throughout the week. A standard schedule is 37.5 hours per week; there is flexibility to consider part-time arrangements for the right candidate.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid Maryland licensure or eligibility as an SLPA or SLP with school-based experience preferred
  • Comfortable working with students from Kindergarten through high school
  • Ability to adapt services to meet individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
  • Willingness to travel between multiple school sites as part of an itinerant schedule

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver speech and language therapy services to assigned K-12 caseload
  • Work under supervision (for SLPA role) and collaborate closely with supervising SLPs
  • Implement therapy activities, support student progress, and contribute to IEP meetings
  • Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports
  • Participate in team meetings and support multidisciplinary collaboration
