Key Qualifications & Experience:

  • Hold an active SLPA license in the state of Virginia (or eligible for licensure)
  • Associate’s degree from an accredited SLPA program or equivalent required
  • Previous experience working with school-aged children is preferred
  • Ability to implement treatment plans as directed by a supervising Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, families, and staff
  • A commitment to fostering student success and inclusivity

Core Responsibilities:

  • Deliver speech-language therapy services to students according to prescribed IEPs and the supervising SLP’s guidance
  • Assist in screening, assessment, and data collection for student needs
  • Document student progress and maintain accurate records of service
  • Support classroom teachers and SLPs in implementing communication strategies
  • Engage with families and teams to promote generalization of communication skills
  • Participate in team meetings, trainings, and ongoing professional development
