Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Hold an active SLPA license in the state of Virginia (or eligible for licensure)
- Associate’s degree from an accredited SLPA program or equivalent required
- Previous experience working with school-aged children is preferred
- Ability to implement treatment plans as directed by a supervising Speech-Language Pathologist
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, families, and staff
- A commitment to fostering student success and inclusivity
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language therapy services to students according to prescribed IEPs and the supervising SLP’s guidance
- Assist in screening, assessment, and data collection for student needs
- Document student progress and maintain accurate records of service
- Support classroom teachers and SLPs in implementing communication strategies
- Engage with families and teams to promote generalization of communication skills
- Participate in team meetings, trainings, and ongoing professional development
