A full-time contract opportunity is available for an enthusiastic Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to work within a well-supported secondary school setting. Based near Missouri City, this role offers an engaging, collaborative environment where your expertise will be valued. While on-site presence is needed, there is flexibility for part-time arrangements of around 30 hours per week if preferred.
As an SLPA, you’ll work primarily at one school, with the potential to float to a second campus if needed. Your caseload will average around 80 students, allowing you to focus on providing targeted intervention and support to help learners achieve their full potential. Site assignments are mindful of where you reside.
Key Qualifications:
- SLPA licensure with active professional credentials required
- Experience working with secondary-aged students encouraged
- Commitment to passing state fingerprinting and background checks
- Ability to complete necessary onboarding and credentialing timely
- Previous employment with this district should be disclosed
- Required attestation if previously terminated from any school district
- Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language services under the supervision of a licensed SLP
- Support students’ IEP goals and assist with assessments
- Maintain accurate records of sessions and progress
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to foster student success
- Participate in team meetings and professional development as needed
This contract aligns with the academic year calendar, from August 11, 2026, through May 26, 2027, and ensures a stable schedule of 37.5 hours per week for full-time.
