Step into a dynamic role supporting students as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in an engaging educational environment near Modesto, CA. This full-time contract position runs ASAP through June 6, 2025, covering both the extended school year (ESY) and the next school year (NSY). You'll work a day shift schedule from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., providing essential support to young learners developing their communication skills.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid California SLPA license required
- Previous experience in a school or healthcare setting as an SLPA highly desired
- Experience working with preschool-aged children and early intervention populations preferred
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with supervising Speech-Language Pathologists and educational teams
- Commitment to building rapport with students and fostering a supportive learning atmosphere
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct 20-30 minute group sessions (2-4 students per group) under the supervision of a licensed SLP
- Deliver individual sessions for preschoolers and select younger students as needed
- Support students in developing articulation, language, and social communication skills
- Collect session data and monitor student progress
- Prepare materials and activities tailored to individual and group needs
- Communicate regularly with faculty and families to discuss student growth and strategies
