Step into a rewarding school-based opportunity supporting elementary students’ speech and language success. This contract position offers the chance to make a meaningful difference in a vibrant TK-12 district serving approximately 3,650 learners. All school sites are centrally located and easily accessible, with your primary focus at the elementary level.

You’ll work closely with a supportive educational team, providing vital speech-language services to a caseload averaging 60 students in grades TK-5. Students’ needs range from general education support to those with moderate to severe disabilities, giving you the opportunity to flex your skills across the full spectrum of school-based speech therapy—including direct interventions, IEP meetings, and comprehensive assessments.

Role Requirements:

  • Possession of a valid SLPA credential (SLP CTC preferred but not required)
  • Experience or confidence working with a range of student needs, from mild to moderate/severe
  • Capability to perform direct therapies, assessments, evaluations, and participate in IEP development
  • Excellent communication skills to liaise with staff and families
  • Adaptability in managing a caseload of approximately 60 elementary students

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized and group speech-language therapy for TK-5th grade students
  • Document sessions, progress, and outcomes in accordance with district guidelines
  • Conduct assessments and contribute to IEP development and meetings
  • Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student progress
  • Maintain compliance with all required regulations and documentation standards

This position is full-time, offering 37.5 contracted hours weekly from August to June, following the district’s academic calendar. You’ll enjoy the unique rewards of school-based practice in a connected community setting.
