Qualifications / Experience:

  • Active state licensure and certification as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
  • Previous experience working with children or students in a school setting preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Understanding of IEPs and the therapy process in educational environments
  • Ability to adapt and respond to diverse student needs
  • Reliability and organizational skills for managing a full caseload

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Support students with speech, language, and communication challenges within school settings
  • Assist in the preparation and organization of therapy materials and documentation
  • Collect data and maintain progress notes on student performance
  • Participate in team meetings to discuss student progress and adjust therapeutic approaches
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff and families to help meet students’ communication goals
