Qualifications and Preferred Experience:
- Valid California SLPA license or eligibility to obtain before start date
- Experience supporting speech therapy in a school-based environment is highly recommended
- Knowledge of evidence-based interventions for children and adolescents with communication disorders
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to connect positively with students, families, and staff
- Detail-oriented with excellent time-management and documentation abilities
- Flexibility to adapt to changing caseload needs and work collaboratively with supervising SLPs
Key Responsibilities:
- Support implementation of speech and language therapy plans under SLP supervision
- Work one-on-one and in small groups with students to target specified communication goals
- Track student progress and collect data as required for Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Prepare materials and participate in therapy session planning
- Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and specialists to support student outcomes
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all state, local, and school district guidelines
