Step into a rewarding role supporting K-6 students as a Speech-Language Pathology professional. This contract position offers a structured schedule and the chance to make meaningful contributions in a supportive school environment near Naperville, IL. With small, manageable classroom sizes—currently 22 students in five classrooms, each with a maximum of six students—you'll have the opportunity to provide focused, individualized attention.

Scheduled onsite hours are 8:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday during the regular school year, ending May 29th. For the Extended School Year program, hours shift slightly to 8:00 am to 2:30 pm, running from June 1 through June 29th. Looking ahead, staff return for the following academic year on August 13th. The immediate start allows for a seamless transition and opportunity to build rapport with students before summer.

Qualifications:

  • Active licensure/certification as one or more of the following: SLPA, SLP - CCC, SLP - CFY, or SLPA (School-based preferred)
  • Experience working with pediatric or K-6 grade populations is ideal
  • Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills within a school team
  • Ability to provide services onsite Monday through Friday, following outlined schedules
  • Commitment to supporting students with diverse communication needs

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver speech-language therapy services individually and in small groups for K-6 students
  • Collaborate with teachers, families, and related service providers to support student progress
  • Monitor and document student growth, preparing reports as required
  • Attend IEP meetings, contributing to goal setting and service planning
  • Participate in school- and district-wide professional development as needed
