Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Valid SLPA (Speech-Language Pathology Assistant) license or certification required
  • Previous experience working with children in grades 1-5 preferred
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Ability to collaborate with teachers, speech-language pathologists, and school staff
  • Familiarity with educational strategies for diverse learners
  • Commitment to fostering inclusion, understanding, and student growth

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct speech and language support to students under the supervision of a licensed SLP
  • Implement individualized therapy plans designed to support student articulation, language comprehension, and communication goals
  • Record and track student progress, documenting outcomes and sharing updates with the supervisory SLP and teachers
  • Assist in creating engaging lessons and activities that make learning accessible and enjoyable
  • Participate in team meetings, collaborating to foster each student's success
  • Support classroom teachers in integrating communication strategies throughout the day
  • Uphold confidentiality, professionalism, and all school policies at all times
