Preferred Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license or eligibility to obtain
- Prior experience supporting speech or language development in a school setting is a plus
- Knowledge of communication disorders and intervention strategies for school-aged children
- Strong organizational skills for maintaining accurate records and supporting therapy sessions
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, educators, and families
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the dynamic needs of a school environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language activities as directed by the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist
- Assist in implementing individualized education program (IEP) goals
- Prepare materials and document student progress during interventions
- Support classroom teachers by providing strategies to enhance student participation
- Foster a positive, inclusive environment for all students to reach their communication goals
- Participate in meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary education teams
