Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license or eligibility to obtain
  • Prior experience supporting speech or language development in a school setting is a plus
  • Knowledge of communication disorders and intervention strategies for school-aged children
  • Strong organizational skills for maintaining accurate records and supporting therapy sessions
  • Ability to communicate effectively with students, educators, and families
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the dynamic needs of a school environment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct speech and language activities as directed by the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Assist in implementing individualized education program (IEP) goals
  • Prepare materials and document student progress during interventions
  • Support classroom teachers by providing strategies to enhance student participation
  • Foster a positive, inclusive environment for all students to reach their communication goals
  • Participate in meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary education teams
