We are seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support preschool students during the 2026-2027 academic year. This contract position runs from August 17, 2026, through June 4, 2027, with consistent hours—35 per week—following a convenient Monday through Friday schedule (8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. with a half-hour unpaid lunch). You’ll be working on-site at Scotten Elementary, partnering with a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) and a collaborative educational team.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid SLPA credential or license (required for school-based settings)
  • Prior experience in school or pediatric settings, especially within preschool populations, strongly preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with children and staff
  • Ability to follow treatment plans developed by supervising SLP
  • Organized, flexible, and proactive in a classroom environment
  • Passionate about helping preschoolers achieve communication goals

What You’ll Do:

  • Deliver direct speech and language support under SLP supervision
  • Prepare and implement activities targeting speech, language, and communication skills
  • Record student progress and maintain thorough documentation
  • Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to reinforce skills in various settings
  • Adapt to individual student needs and provide encouraging feedback
  • Participate in staff meetings and contribute observations to student progress discussions
