Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Associate’s degree from an accredited Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program or equivalent.
- Current SLPA licensure or eligibility to obtain in Texas.
- Experience providing speech/language therapy support in a school setting strongly preferred.
- Solid understanding of child development, language disorders, and evidence-based intervention strategies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team, taking direction from supervising SLPs.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver therapeutic interventions to students with communication needs under the supervision of a licensed SLP.
- Aid in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and assist with progress documentation.
- Prepare and organize therapy materials and activities.
- Observe, record, and inform the supervising SLP of students’ progress and response to treatment.
- Collaborate with school personnel and families to support student success.
- Uphold confidentiality and ethical standards in all interactions and documentation.
