Step into a rewarding opportunity as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant supporting elementary students in a dynamic educational environment near Newberry, SC. This contract role begins July 29th and runs through May 22nd, offering a consistent weekly schedule of 37.5 hours from 7:45 am to 3:00 pm, Monday through Friday. You'll play a pivotal part in helping young learners enhance their communication skills and thrive academically.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid SLPA credential or eligibility in South Carolina
  • Experience in school or pediatric/healthcare settings preferred
  • Recent graduates and clinical fellows are welcome to apply
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Organizational skills and adaptability to manage a caseload of approximately 40 elementary-aged students

Responsibilities Include:

  • Implementing speech-language therapy plans developed by supervising SLPs
  • Delivering direct therapy and support to students, tracking progress and maintaining accurate documentation
  • Collaborating with teachers, special education staff, and families to support student success
  • Preparing therapy materials and assisting with student assessments
  • Participating in team meetings and contributing to IEP discussions when appropriate
