Speech Language Pathology Assistant - North Adams, MA

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join a school-based team in North Adams, Massachusetts. This full-time opportunity will support students across Pre-K through 12th grade, working under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist.

The anticipated caseload is approximately 30–40 students, with the exact caseload to be determined by the school director.

Responsibilities

• Provide speech and language services to students in accordance with their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).

• Implement treatment plans and therapy activities developed by the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist.

• Support students across a range of communication needs and developmental levels.

• Collect and document student data and progress.

• Collaborate with teachers, school staff, families, and the supervising SLP.

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation.

• Participate as appropriate in team meetings and school-based activities.

Qualifications

• Current Massachusetts SLPA licensure/certification or eligibility to practice as an SLPA in Massachusetts.

• Appropriate educational background in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders.

• School-based experience is preferred but not required.

• Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills.

• Ability to work effectively with students across a wide range of ages and needs.
