Apply NowStep into a rewarding contract position as a dedicated Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) supporting students’ communication growth in an engaging school environment. This full-time, onsite role spans from ASAP through May 25th, 2027, offering you an opportunity to truly impact learners’ lives while working within a collaborative educational team.
Work closely with a supervising Speech-Language Pathologist as you provide direct speech therapy services designed to help students reach their goals. With an approximate caseload of 85, your expertise will make a difference from Monday through Friday, 8:00am to around 4:30pm.
Key Qualifications:
- Holds valid SLPA licensure/certification as required by Texas state guidelines
- Experience in school-based or pediatric settings preferred
- Strong organization, time management, and communication skills
- Ability to establish rapport and work effectively with students of varying abilities
- Comfortable following SLP treatment plans and collaborating with educational staff
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver prescribed speech therapy interventions under SLP supervision
- Implement activities and materials targeting students’ individual speech/language goals
- Accurately document student progress and session notes
- Assist with screenings and informal assessments as directed
- Support IEP implementation and communicate with staff as needed regarding student progress
