Seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support a dynamic elementary school setting near Modesto. This contract role offers 35 hours per week within a welcoming educational environment, known for its positivity and collaborative spirit. You’ll work closely with students in a higher SPED (special education) population, making a meaningful difference as you partner with both licensed speech-language pathologists and dedicated educators.
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Valid SLPA licensure for schools or healthcare settings
- Experience working with elementary-aged children, especially in special education or higher needs environments
- Strong communication abilities and collaboration skills
- Familiarity with school-based documentation requirements and IEP processes
- Reliability, adaptability, and a proactive attitude
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy assistance to elementary students under the supervision of a licensed SLP
- Implement individualized and group interventions tailored to student needs
- Support data collection, progress monitoring, and documentation for student cases
- Collaborate with educational staff, families, and SLPs to optimize student support plans
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute insights relevant to students’ speech-language goals
