Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Active SLPA license in the state or eligibility to obtain
  • Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for working collaboratively with educators, SLPs, and other staff
  • Exceptional communication and organizational abilities
  • Comfortable adapting to various caseloads (elementary, middle, or high school)
  • Ability to follow treatment plans/sessions as directed by a supervising SLP

Responsibilities:

  • Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) as prescribed by a supervising Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Conduct direct therapy sessions with students, fostering their speech, language, and communication skills
  • Document student progress, maintain accurate records, and collaborate in IEP meetings as needed
  • Support students in classrooms, small groups, or one-on-one settings, adapting strategies to best meet their needs
  • Communicate effectively with parents and teachers regarding student progress and challenges
  • Assist in screening and assessment activities under supervision
