Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Active SLPA license in the state or eligibility to obtain
- Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for working collaboratively with educators, SLPs, and other staff
- Exceptional communication and organizational abilities
- Comfortable adapting to various caseloads (elementary, middle, or high school)
- Ability to follow treatment plans/sessions as directed by a supervising SLP
Responsibilities:
- Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) as prescribed by a supervising Speech-Language Pathologist
- Conduct direct therapy sessions with students, fostering their speech, language, and communication skills
- Document student progress, maintain accurate records, and collaborate in IEP meetings as needed
- Support students in classrooms, small groups, or one-on-one settings, adapting strategies to best meet their needs
- Communicate effectively with parents and teachers regarding student progress and challenges
- Assist in screening and assessment activities under supervision
