Key Requirements:

  • Valid SLPA license or certification, or eligibility to obtain licensure as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant
  • Previous experience in a school environment is preferred
  • Strong communication, documentation, and collaborative skills
  • Familiarity with implementing treatment plans developed by SLPs
  • Ability to work effectively with students across a diverse range of abilities and backgrounds
  • Comfortable adapting to the needs of multiple classrooms or age groups

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Provide direct speech-language assistance to students under supervision of the supervising SLP
  • Support individual and small group activities designed to enhance language, articulation, and communication skills
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and session activities
  • Encourage and motivate students to participate fully in interventions
  • Assist with preparation of therapy materials, scheduling sessions, and completing required paperwork
  • Communicate regularly with supervising SLP and educational staff regarding student needs and progress
