Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Active SLPA license in California
- Experience working in K-12 school environments
- Familiarity with both school and healthcare-related speech-language therapy practices
- Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with students, teachers, family members, and fellow professionals
- Strong organizational and documentation skills
- Adaptability and professionalism in a dynamic educational environment
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy sessions to students under SLP supervision
- Assist in screening, assessment, and documentation of student progress
- Support IEP implementation and monitor students’ communication goals
- Maintain accurate records in accordance with district and state guidelines
- Collaborate with educators and school staff to create effective communication strategies in the classroom
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to educational planning
