Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in a vibrant elementary school environment. Key Qualifications:

  • Active California SLPA license or eligibility
  • Prior experience in a school-based setting strongly preferred
  • Comfortable supporting elementary students with a variety of communication needs
  • Experience with AAC devices, or a willingness to become proficient
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and record-keeping skills
  • Positive and adaptable attitude for dynamic school settings

Role Highlights & Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct speech-language services to students, following individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Implement activities and interventions provided by the supervising SLP
  • Support students who require AAC devices to enhance their communication skills
  • Accurately document session notes, track progress, and assist with report preparation
  • Collaborate with teachers, SLPs, and other team members to foster student success
  • Flexibility regarding schedule shifts: Initially, schedules are 7 hours/day (35 hours/week), with potential adjustment to 5.75 hours/day (28.75 hours/week), possibly increasing to 30 hours/week as approvals are finalized
  • All positions focus on elementary school caseloads
