Key Qualifications:

• Valid SLPA licensure in California.
• Prior experience in school-based speech services, particularly at the elementary level.
• Confidence and familiarity with Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) systems.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Comfortable adapting to changing schedules/hours as needed.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide direct speech-language therapy services to elementary students under the supervision of licensed SLPs.
• Support communication goals using evidence-based practices, including AAC strategies.
• Collaborate with special education teams, classroom teachers, and families.
• Maintain accurate documentation and student records.
• Adapt quickly to school environment and adjust caseload as hours transition (from 7 hours daily/35 hours weekly to 5.75 hours daily/28.75 hours weekly, with potential for 30-hour weeks pending approval).
