Key Qualifications:
- Valid SLPA licensure in California.
- Prior experience in school-based speech services, particularly at the elementary level.
- Confidence and familiarity with Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) systems.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Comfortable adapting to changing schedules/hours as needed.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy services to elementary students under the supervision of licensed SLPs.
- Support communication goals using evidence-based practices, including AAC strategies.
- Collaborate with special education teams, classroom teachers, and families.
- Maintain accurate documentation and student records.
- Adapt quickly to school environment and adjust caseload as hours transition (from 7 hours daily/35 hours weekly to 5.75 hours daily/28.75 hours weekly, with potential for 30-hour weeks pending approval).
