Apply NowWe're searching for dedicated Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) to contribute their skills to a supportive school environment. In this full-time, contract position, you'll work onsite within a dynamic educational setting, making a meaningful difference in students' communication abilities throughout the academic year.
As a valued team member, you’ll collaborate with speech-language pathologists and other professionals to deliver direct speech and language therapy services. The assignment will involve supporting a traditional caseload at one primary school site, with student populations primarily at the elementary level. Some sites specialize in serving children with more significant needs, providing a rewarding opportunity for those looking to impact diverse learners.
Qualifications & Experience
- Active FL Department of Health SLPA licensure required
- Minimum two years of experience as an SLPA, including at least six months in a school-based setting
- Proficiency delivering speech and language interventions to children
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities
- Capacity to complete timely credentialing, including fingerprinting (previous FL school district fingerprints may be verified through the AHCA Clearinghouse)
- Willing to work exclusively onsite; remote/virtual opportunities are not available
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct speech and language therapy services as assigned by supervising SLPs
- Manage documentation and maintain detailed records of student progress
- Collaborate closely with educational staff, students, and families
- Serve a stable caseload at one designated school site
This is a full-time role with a consistent 35-hour work week, offering valuable experience within a collaborative educational atmosphere.
