Key Qualifications:
- Current SLPA license/certification required
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is essential
- At least 1 full school year of previous SLPA experience in an educational setting
- Comfortable managing an average caseload of around 55 students
- Experience supporting K-6 students preferred
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech-language therapy services under the supervision of a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Assist with screening, assessments, and progress monitoring of students
- Adapt and implement therapy activities according to each student’s Individualized Education Program (IEP)
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, SLP, and other members of the educational team to support student needs
- Maintain timely and accurate records of sessions, data collection, and reporting
- Participate in IEP meetings as appropriate
This full-time position offers a consistent schedule of 35 hours per week during the school year, with the opportunity to build strong relationships with students, families, and colleagues. Hourly compensation ranges from $50 to $55, reflecting your specialized skills and experience.
