Step into a rewarding, contract-based opportunity supporting K-6 students as a bilingual Speech-Language Pathology Assistant. This position requires expertise in both English and Spanish, serving a diverse population in a school setting near Oxnard, CA. Key Qualifications:
- Active SLPA license
- Fluent in both Spanish and English (Spanish required)
- Experience working with school-aged children (K-6)
- Minimum one full school year of SLPA experience in educational settings
- Familiarity supporting students with mild to moderate caseloads
Primary Responsibilities:
- Support SLPs in providing research-based speech and language services
- Assist in administering therapy activities and implementing lesson plans
- Work directly with an average caseload of 55 students, ensuring individual education plan (IEP) goals are addressed
- Document student progress and update supervising SLP accurately and timely
- Maintain effective communication with school staff and families
- Adapt materials and strategies to meet diverse student needs
