Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Fully certified and licensed as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
- Previous experience supporting school-aged children is strongly preferred
- Proficient in working with students who use augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices
- Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with supervising SLPs, educators, and families
- Reliable transportation for itinerant travel within the district
- Organized, self-motivated, and flexible in adapting to multiple school sites
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and indirect speech-language services to students as outlined in IEPs
- Implement and support use of AAC devices for students, ensuring they receive effective communication support
- Foster positive relationships with students, staff, and families across various campuses
- Accurately document session notes and student progress, communicating regularly with your supervising SLP
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to planning, goal-setting, and progress review discussions
