Apply NowStep into a rewarding opportunity as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) supporting students with communication needs in an educational setting. This full-time, contract position offers 30 to 35 hours per week, beginning March 16, 2026, just before spring break. You'll play a valuable role as an itinerant SLPA, collaborating with a dynamic team while supporting students who utilize Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices.
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Valid SLPA certification and state licensure required
- Experience in educational or pediatric settings preferred
- Knowledge and/or experience working with AAC devices strongly beneficial
- Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to travel between sites within a 40-50 mile weekly radius (mileage reimbursement provided)
- Dedicated to collaborating with supervising Speech-Language Pathologists
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct therapy and support services to students with speech and language needs under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist
- Assist with implementing communication plans involving AAC devices
- Support progress monitoring and data collection for student goals
- Travel to various school sites within the district to deliver services as assigned
- Communicate consistently with supervising SLP and educational staff about student needs and progress
- Maintain accurate records in compliance with district and state guidelines
