This exciting full-time contract opportunity is perfect for a dedicated and certified Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) looking to make a difference in the lives of students. Work week is 30 to 35 hours, with an ideal start date on March 16th, 2026, just before spring break from March 23rd to 27th. The role offers an engaging itinerant environment, supporting students who use AAC devices, and involves travel within a supportive district setting. Mileage reimbursement is provided (weekly mileage typically ranges between 40-50 miles), making travel between sites convenient and cost-effective. Licensed professionals will benefit from regular supervision for ongoing professional growth.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Current SLPA certification and active state license required
- Previous experience working in school settings, preferably with students utilizing AAC devices
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and adapt to a variety of school environments across the district
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide support to students with speech and language needs, focusing on those using AAC devices
- Travel between multiple school sites within the district as an itinerant SLPA
- Collaborate with supervising speech-language pathologists and educational staff to implement therapy plans
- Document and track student progress in compliance with district and professional standards
- Participate in supervision and professional development opportunities
