This assignment begins ASAP and offers a consistent weekday schedule—Monday through Friday, 7:45 a.m. to 3:45 p.m., with a 30-minute lunch break—allowing you to make meaningful connections and foster growth among young learners from Pre-K to Grade 5.
You’ll be working directly with approximately 50 elementary students, each receiving tailored support for mild to moderate articulation and language needs. These students spend most of their day in general education classrooms, benefiting from specialized pull-out or push-in speech services designed to help them thrive academically and socially.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Active SLPA license in good standing
- Experience, practicum, or strong interest in serving Pre-K–5th grade populations
- Confidence providing services in both group and individual settings
- Ability to collaborate effectively with supervising SLPs, teachers, and families
- Strong communication and documentation abilities
- Flexibility with pull-out and push-in support models
What You’ll Do:
- Carry out speech-language interventions established by supervising SLPs
- Document progress, maintain accurate records, and support individualized education plans
- Adapt activities to meet students’ expressive, receptive, and social communication needs
- Assist in screening and data collection as requested
- Communicate regularly with educators and families about student growth
