Qualifications and Experience:

  • Completion of an accredited SLPA (Speech-Language Pathology Assistant) program and current state licensure or eligibility.
  • Previous experience supporting speech-language services in school or healthcare settings is highly desirable.
  • Solid understanding of language development, articulation, and communication disorders.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to work flexibly within multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and enthusiastic about student-centered care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Provide direct intervention services to students, monitoring progress and adapting activities as directed.
  • Prepare and organize therapy materials tailored to students’ needs.
  • Document session notes and maintain accurate records of student performance.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers and other staff to support generalization of communication skills.
  • Participate in staff meetings and contribute insight to multidisciplinary planning.
