School Speech Language Pathologist Assistant | Pilot Rock, Oregon

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students across the K-12 spectrum as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA). You’ll play a crucial role in fostering communication skills and academic success for a diverse group of learners. This position begins the last week of August and continues through the first or second week of June, offering a predictable school calendar with breaks and summer off.

You’ll work a full-time schedule of 40 hours per week over 185 school days. Daily hours will follow each school’s operating times, and your assignment may span multiple campuses within the district. With a caseload of approximately 60 students, you’ll provide direct and indirect therapy services, support IEP goals, and collaborate with speech-language pathologists and classroom educators.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid SLPA license or certification required for the state
• Experience working with school-aged children (K-12) preferred
• Ability to organize and manage a caseload of diverse student needs
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Commitment to ethical, student-centered care
• Flexibility to travel between school locations as needed

Responsibilities:

• Implement speech-language intervention plans developed by supervising SLP
• Support students in both group and individual settings
• Track and document student progress, maintaining accurate records
• Collaborate with teachers and other school professionals to support student needs
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to IEP planning and execution
