Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license or certification.
- Experience or training in school-based settings, particularly with early childhood or elementary-aged students.
- Strong interpersonal skills to connect with young children, teachers, and families.
- Familiarity with individualized education programs (IEPs) and progress documentation.
- Dedication to helping students achieve communication milestones.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy services to PreK – 1st grade students as directed by supervising Speech-Language Pathologists.
- Support the implementation of IEP goals and document student progress.
- Assist with screenings, assessments, and data collection.
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to integrate communication strategies into classroom activities.
- Communicate effectively with families and caregivers regarding student progress and strategies for support.
