Help support students’ communication and learning as a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant for the 2026-2027 academic year! This on-site, contract opportunity begins August 7, 2026, and continues through June 10, 2027. You’ll be working closely with experienced professionals in a supportive school environment near Pinson, AL, with caseloads assigned based on students’ needs and district locations.
Your expertise as an SLPA will make a real difference in students’ growth, collaborating with teachers and Speech Language Pathologists to implement evidence-based therapy. Bring your skills and dedication to a dynamic educational setting committed to student success!
Qualifications & Certifications:
- Active ASHA Certification and ABSESPA Licensure required
- Valid Professional Educator Certification
- SLPA licensure for Alabama and completed fingerprinting/background check
- Previous school-based SLPA experience preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech/language therapy services under supervision of a licensed SLP
- Follow and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Regularly document and report student progress
- Assist with student screenings, assessments, and data collection
- Adapt therapy materials and activities for diverse student needs
- Communicate and collaborate with educators, families, and support staff
