Qualifications & Experience:
- Current SLPA certification or license as required by the state of Texas
- Practical experience or familiarity working with children in grades 1-5
- Understanding of speech-language therapy techniques and documentation
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with teachers, staff, and families
- Excellent organizational skills for managing caseloads and record-keeping
Role Responsibilities:
- Assist licensed Speech-Language Pathologists in delivering high-quality therapy services
- Work directly with students individually and in small groups, implementing assigned therapy plans
- Prepare materials and activities tailored to specific communication goals
- Monitor, document, and report student progress on a regular basis
- Contribute to progress meetings and help manage records in compliance with school policies and regulatory guidelines
- Foster a positive, inclusive atmosphere that encourages student participation and growth
