Make a positive impact in elementary education by supporting students across 1st through 5th grades as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) on a contract basis. This role provides the opportunity to make meaningful contributions to developing young learners’ communication skills in a supportive and energetic environment.

Requirements and Preferred Experience:

  • Valid SLPA licensure for the state of Texas
  • Previous experience in school settings or working with elementary-aged students is a plus
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with students, teachers, and parents
  • Ability to manage a diverse caseload while maintaining accurate records and session notes
  • Proficiency in implementing individualized education programs (IEPs) under the supervision of a Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Caring, adaptable, and eager to encourage student growth across academic and social milestones

Core Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct speech and language therapy services to students in 1st to 5th grades, as outlined by supervising SLPs
  • Incorporate fun, interactive activities to reinforce language goals in both individual and group sessions
  • Collaborate with educators to integrate speech strategies within the general curriculum
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute insights into student progress
  • Assist with documentation, progress monitoring, and reporting as required by school protocols
  • Foster a positive, inclusive atmosphere that supports student confidence and skill development
