Certified Grades K - 5 Speech Language Pathologist Assistant in Ponca City, OK

Make a real difference in the lives of young learners by supporting communication and academic success as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA). This contract position begins as soon as possible, offering the chance to work with a diverse student group from Pre-K through 5th grade. You’ll help shape positive outcomes for approximately 50 students, providing essential speech and language support directly within their general education environments through both pull-out and push-in services.

What you’ll need:

• Active SLPA certification and licensure required
• Experience working with children in elementary grades (PK-5); grades 6-8 and 9-12 experience a plus
• Proficiency supporting mild to moderate articulation and language needs
• Skilled at collaborating with teachers, parents, and other specialists
• Strong communication, organization, and documentation abilities

What you’ll do:

• Deliver individualized and group speech-language services for students in general education classrooms
• Implement therapy plans developed by supervising SLPs, focusing on articulation and language goals
• Adapt activities and materials to meet individual student needs
• Monitor student progress and maintain thorough records
• Communicate regularly with supervising therapists, faculty, and families regarding student growth
• Participate in team meetings as needed to support student success
