This assignment runs for 35 hours each week and focuses on an average caseload of 55 students. Fluency in Spanish is essential, allowing you to bridge communication and cultural gaps to maximize student success. The Director is seeking a candidate who brings at least one full school year of SLPA experience in educational settings.
Key Qualifications:
- Active SLPA license required
- Minimum of one full school year of experience as an SLPA in a school-based environment
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is mandatory
- Comfortable serving students in grades K-6, with mild to moderate needs
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Role Responsibilities:
- Support the delivery of speech-language pathology services under the direction of a supervising SLP
- Foster a positive and inclusive environment for a diverse student population
- Contribute to implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Maintain accurate records and data for student progress
- Collaborate with teachers, specialists, and families to promote student achievement
