Qualifications & Skills:

  • Active SLPA license for Texas
  • Previous experience working in a school environment strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of speech-language therapy protocols and supportive interventions
  • Ability to follow treatment plans developed by Speech-Language Pathologists
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal abilities
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist Speech-Language Pathologists in the execution of student therapy plans
  • Conduct individual and group therapy sessions under supervision
  • Collect and document data on student progress and participation
  • Prepare therapy materials and resources
  • Communicate regularly with teachers and family members regarding student needs and progress
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of student goals
  • Support administrative tasks related to speech-language services
