A full-time Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) opportunity is available, providing services across educational settings with a travel component based in Prince George, VA. This position involves delivering support to students in both middle and elementary schools, ensuring a dynamic and impactful role in diverse learning environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language pathology services under the supervision of a certified Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Manage a caseload of approximately 70 students with varying communication needs.
- Work three days per week in a middle school setting and two days per week in an elementary school, supporting individual and group therapy sessions.
- Collaborate with educators, therapists, and families to promote students’ communication development and educational success.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services and student progress.
Qualifications:
- Experience or training as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant, preferably with exposure to school-based and healthcare-related environments.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with students of different ages and abilities.
- Ability to manage a substantial caseload with organizational efficiency.
- Flexibility and preparedness for travel between school sites.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to professional standards.
