This contract opportunity offers a dynamic and supportive environment, ideal for Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs), including those early in their careers or completing their clinical fellowship. The assignment begins on July 29 and runs through May 22, providing stability throughout the school year.
You'll work a consistent weekly schedule of 37.5 hours, with daily hours from 7:45 am to 3:00 pm, making work-life balance achievable. Your caseload will include approximately 40 elementary students, giving you the chance to build meaningful, ongoing relationships.
Preferred background:
- Certification as an SLPA or current enrollment in a Clinical Fellowship (CF) program
- Experience or strong interest in working within elementary school settings
- Familiarity with both educational and healthcare models for speech services
- Adaptability and commitment to best practices in student-centered care
- Strong communication skills, collaboration, and a positive attitude toward teamwork
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech-language interventions under supervision as specified by IEPs and student plans
- Support evaluations, progress monitoring, and documentation requirements
- Collaborate closely with licensed SLPs, educators, and families to ensure student success
- Contribute to a nurturing environment that encourages growth and engagement in the classroom
- Participate in team meetings, professional development, and ongoing supervision
