Provide specialized support as a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) serving multiple elementary schools in the Fort Myers, FL area, helping students develop essential communication skills. This full-time, on-site contract position involves working closely with speech-language pathologists and educational staff to create a positive and effective learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support speech-language pathologists in implementing therapy plans for a caseload of approximately 50-55 students.
  • Deliver therapy services primarily at Harns Marsh Elementary (2 days per week) and Mirror Lakes Elementary (1 day per week).
  • Assist with documentation, progress reporting, and data collection to monitor student development.
  • Collaborate with school staff, families, and SLPs to promote student communication goals.
  • Maintain compliance with all school district policies and procedures.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Active Florida Department of Health (DOH) SLPA license required.
  • Experience working in a school setting preferred.
  • Ability to manage a caseload of up to 55 students.
  • Must complete fingerprinting per Florida school district requirements; previous prints verified through AHCA Clearinghouse preferred.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Passion for supporting student learning and development.

Location: Fort Myers, FL — On-site at multiple elementary schools.
