Key Qualifications:

  • Active, current North Carolina SLPA license required
  • Previous experience in school-based settings (elementary, middle, or high school) highly preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Demonstrated organization and adaptability for traveling between multiple sites
  • Ability to contribute positively to multidisciplinary IEP teams
  • Flexibility to support varying student caseloads
  • Commitment to maintaining confidential student records and adhering to all compliance standards

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver speech and language services under supervision, following IEP goals
  • Assist with screenings, direct interventions, and progress monitoring
  • Document student performance and prepare session notes
  • Support students in developing social communication and pragmatic language skills
  • Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and other service providers
  • Participate in meetings and professional development as needed
  • Adapt lesson materials for a diverse student population
