This is an itinerant contract position, offering a dynamic environment where you’ll work across multiple school sites, collaborating with educators and speech-language pathologists to support communication goals for students.
Key Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Hold a valid Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license or certification
- Previous experience in school settings preferred, though recent graduates with strong clinical skills will also be considered
- Comfortable working in an itinerant role, traveling between campuses as scheduled
- Skilled in providing direct therapy and following treatment plans developed by supervising SLPs
- Excellent communication, time management, and organizational abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group speech/language therapy under the guidance of a licensed SLP
- Assist with screening, assessment, and progress documentation for students receiving speech services
- Implement intervention activities that foster communication skills in the classroom and other settings
- Collaborate with teachers, SLPs, and families to support students’ IEP goals and ensure consistent care
- Maintain accurate records and participate in team meetings as needed
- Travel between assigned school locations within the district according to the itinerant route
