Key Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree from an accredited Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program or a Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Valid California license as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant
  • Prior experience in a school-based setting strongly preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to foster productive relationships with students, parents, and team members
  • Enthusiasm for working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary educational team

Core Responsibilities:

  • Assist Speech-Language Pathologists in delivering direct therapy and support services to students with a variety of communication disorders
  • Collect and document data on student progress under the supervision of the supervising SLP
  • Help implement Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals and participate in school meetings as needed
  • Prepare materials and adapt resources to meet individual student needs
  • Communicate effectively with teachers, families, and other professional staff to ensure coordinated services
