An exciting opportunity awaits for a contract Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support students across three campuses on the east/northeast side of the Houston metro area. This role serves Furr High School, Edison Middle School, and Holland Middle School, providing direct, school-based speech-language support in a collaborative educational environment.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active Texas SLPA license absolutely required (license must be in hand—no supervision hours available)
  • Previous experience working in a school setting as an SLP or SLPA
  • Ability to reliably commute to all three campuses
  • On-site availability only; remote work is not permitted
  • Willingness and ability to complete HISD fingerprinting within three days of contract acceptance

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct speech-language pathology services to students in line with IEP goals and school directives
  • Collaborate with supervising SLPs, teachers, and multidisciplinary teams to optimize student outcomes
  • Document therapy sessions and student progress as required by campus and district protocols
  • Communicate effectively with students, staff, and families to support overall educational plans
  • Ensure compliance with all school, district, and state procedures and timelines
  • Participate in meetings, trainings, and professional development as needed

Additional Details & Benefits:

  • Contract will run from start date through May 28, 2027
