School Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) | Richmond, Texas

We seek a licensed Speech-Language Pathology Assistant who thrives in dynamic educational settings and is ready to provide high-quality therapy services at both Furr High School and Edison Middle School. You’ll play a vital role in helping students achieve their communication goals while collaborating closely with a supportive team.

Candidates must have an active Texas SLPA license and be able to reliably commute between both campuses. This is an on-site, contract position running through May 28, 2027.

Key Qualifications:

• Current Texas SLPA license in hand
• Prior school-based experience as an SLPA required
• Ability to commit to on-site work at both designated campuses
• Reliable transportation and readiness to travel between both locations
• Willingness to complete and pay for HISD fingerprinting within the first three days of contract
• Prepared to purchase a laptop upfront (reimbursement provided)
• Strong organizational and communication skills

Responsibilities:

• Deliver speech-language therapy services to assigned students in accordance with IEP goals
• Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes
• Collaborate with school teams, educators, and supervising SLPs to maximize student outcomes
• Travel promptly between the two school campuses as scheduled
• Demonstrate flexibility and reliability in diverse settings
